Hello and welcome to my profile! My name is Tim and I'll be your host
.
Firstly, let me tell you a bit about myself. I'm 23 years old and I live in Lake Forest. I am a full-time student at SCC and I work three jobs. Yikes!
I started writing poetry when I met my beautiful girlfriend, Amy. We're planning on getting married someday
. She's my world and I've loved her from the first time I saw her. You'll find that most of my poetry is written about her or for her, but I do have some other stuff, so don't worry-I've got a pretty diverse collection
.
I enjoy reading all types of poetry EXCEPT for political poetry and cutting poetry. Political poetry, in my opinion, is nothing short of bashing a person or party while rhyming. It's usually rude and offensive, so I don't enjoy it, sorry. Cutting poetry I don't like to read simply because I am an ex-cutter myself, and this strikes too close to home for me. I'd prefer to forget about that part of my life, and I don't need reminders.
I love meeting people on AP and making new friends. My myspace is reserved only for people I REALLY know and am comfortable with, so please don't be offended if I don't add you as a friend right away. I've also got an AIM screenname, but I'm rarely on.
Right now I am a free member here at AP, but I possibly will be signing up as a silver member.
That pretty much sums it up for me! I hope you enjoy reading my work!
PLEASE NOTE: Any bashing of my poetry WILL NOT be tolerated and will be reported immediately. I appreciate constructive criticism-not rude, mindless, hateful words that only intend to be insulting and not helpful.
WHAT'S NEW IN MY WORLD:
7/20/09-I've really had a hard time writing poetry. I really believe it's due to my sleep apnea, which makes me constantly feel like I'm in a "fog" and makes it difficult for me to coherently think/speak. Keep me in prayer, since this is INCREDIBLY difficult to deal with...but deal with it I must.
6/26/08-I know I haven't written in awhile but I've been VERY busy. In fact, I was almost finished typing out this great poem I thought up when I accidentally hit the 'Back' button. When I got the right screen back, all the words were gone.
Oh well...it just goes to show you that you should always write your poems on paper first. I'll write again when I feel inspired enough to do so.

My Poetry
-
I've fallen to the side of this path; I've failed the test
And thrown away a love that was so blessed. -
For an angel like her to need me; to LOVE me.
It makes my heart flutter and my soul ache in bliss. -
