SPLIT INFINITELY
By Kimber C.
(that's me!)
Hello there! I'm 26
And today I am free
To explain to you about
All the 28 of me.
Number 14 is the happy one—
The one most of you see.
She's the one who likes to sing
A beautiful melody.
Number 3 is such a brat:
She always screams and hits.
No one can control
All of her many fits.
Timid 8 is the quiet one
Who keeps much to herself,
While number 12 is quiet too,
But moves with catlike stealth.
And 23—the evil one
Who plots the others' deaths
But never can she seem
To take another’s breath.
Number 1 is quite depressed,
And she's annoyed with 14 often
Whom 1 thinks is too happy
(Her heart really needs to soften).
Number 28 is sweet and shy
And smiles like a rose.
Flirty 16 is the girly chick—
Obsessed with guys and clothes.
Then there is 18
Who lives to play for sports,
And doesn't care what she wears
Except for her Nike shorts.
Then 10 is the cynic
Who laughs and scoffs and pokes,
Always bringing down the rest
With her cruel jokes.
22 is the broken child
Who sobs and hurts a lot.
Number 7 is the funny one
That preppies think is hot.
There’s 13 that’s quite a kick—
She does mostly her own thing
Odd fashions, words and trendy hair;
And owns thirteen mood rings.
Number 5 is the nerd
Who loves to do school unmeasured
(All except for math,
To everyone else’s pleasure.)
Next, 27 loves to eat,
Especially chocolate goods.
There isn’t much to say for 2,
Whose passion is the woods.
Number 11 is the rebel
Who doesn’t care what you say.
No matter what you do,
She’s gunna do it her way.
Number 19 is most awkward,
And is the dullest of them all.
She doesn't do much of anything
But sit and stare at walls.
Thoughtful 24 is the writer—
Stories flow from her mouth.
Number 6 is the pyro
Who nearly burned down the house.
Number 25 is obnoxious
And gets on everybody’s nerves.
(They're all plotting out a way
She can get what she deserves.)
Number 9 is the health nut,
Eating veggies all the time.
But she usually gets beaten
By 27's candy line!
Bright 17 is the intellect
And really loves a good read.
Number 21 is the tag along
Who will follow any lead.
Messy 4 is the slob
Who just throws her things together.
She’s lazy 'til the ‘leventh-hour—
Never ready for bad weather.
Then 20—the perfectionist:
It all must be “just so”.
She gets mad at all 4's ways,
Who never makes things flow.
And 15, the last one on the list
Of all 28 of me’s,
Is the only one of us around
That can really sneeze a sneeze.
Then there is me, the poet,
Whose works I’m sure you've read.
But I'm tired, so it’s her turn…
14’s that is. I’m off to bed.
