Wildflowers - amazing imagery, I've never been to America but I can still "see" where you were thinking of when you wrote this haiku.

One of our neighbors used to have a manx and explained how they have no tails. My cat Ginger was a stray, and she only has half of her tail. Someone cute off half of it. Poor kitty looks strange with only half a tail.
