In Greek and Roman mythology--
They were the four most important of Jupiter’s seven great loves. The three girls were renowned for their beauty and Ganymedes- well, he was said to be almost god-like.
Ganymede, though. It's the biggest of the four. Bigger than Mercury and Pluto, even though it's only a moon.
When Io, Callisto and Europa were discovered, Galileo thought that they were three comparatively small planets hanging near Jupiter. The next night, though, He realized that these planets were moving in the opposite direction. The night after that, there was a forth one.

I can’t stop thinking about that image. The Satellites in their human forms, suspended in the silence of space.
Just… frozen however they were
