This is the only place I let people read my poetry. I guess you could say that I am pretty shy when it comes to my writing, but a lot of people are. They'd rather have complete strangers be reading and commenting than the closest friend. At least I would. Thus, Allpoetry! =)
I began writing when I needed a way to express myself. I wrote a poem. And, it felt good to do so. So I wrote more. And more, and more. And soon enough, I was sitting with a notebook, 200 pages, filled with poetry and songs and a story even.
I come from a long history of people with problems, from alcoholism to depression, drug use to abuse. I turned out okay though, and I don't know why. Maybe I have a quirk, somewhere..... ^.^ My favourite thing to do is sit by a lake, or a river, or an ocean, and watch the sun go down. I love sunsets, there is something so peaceful, no matter what noise surrounds you, that makes the day okay, even if it hasn't been. I feel at peace, and that is why I love it soo much. I used to walk on the beach back home when I was a pup, alone and free... I love the water. I took so many pictures of the beach I lived near before I left, but they are lost somewhere in the mess I call a bedroom. I hope to go back some day.... I really do...
