Andrew Hide

Strange to think I've been on this site for nearly ten years now.
Being English I am what is often called a landscape poet. I write alot in various oriental forms as I like the concise images used to develope and share the emotions with the reader.

I will always try to comment constructively, sometimes this may sting the author's feelings, for this I appologuise, I intend no offence but only wish to give a reader oppinion. If further explanation for a comment is require please feel free to ask me.

I'm currently editing my children's poem and would be interested in an critism or suggestions from my collection.

For every poet, who sheds a tear,
it's never wasted, do not fear,
it falls onto an empty page,
in ink, is mixed into a rage,
it brings a passion, emotion to life,
lost love, a hurt, unfaithful wife,
it touches others, so they may know,
the sorrow, the grief, caused tear to flow,
and they will feel the feelings, clear,
for every poet, who sheds a tear.

Much of my poetry will soon be removed from this site as I sort it into four groups, childrens poetry, oriental form poetry, other poetry and the rubbish basket.
The reason for this is simply because they will be going into collections for publication.

You can see the books I currently have avaliable at:-

My poetry has been published in anthologies and poetry magazines in:-
England, USA, Japan, Netherlands and South Africa

I will still be posting new work here and welcome criticism.

                                      relaxing with wine
                                              in a glass
                                   the moon's reflection
                                             turns gold
