Hello, friend. Thank you for visiting. I am Andantino, the Leader of the Winklings main group and I have my finger in the pies of other Winkling satellite groups.![]()

I inhabit this page to assist, when time allows, my colleagues, known here as Andanteans, in the judging of contest material, commenting upon poems and assisting Lyndon with our anthologies. I am not, of necessity, a poet but a critic [I hope in the best sense of the word.] Predominantly, I am a servant to Winklings as well as a musician and certainly Andante and, of course, the seasonal anthologies, "On Viewless Wings"! In fact, I am an Andantean from the Andante Group, the engine room of groups Winkling. If I speak as Andantino, that is on matters of some import, I speak with the authority of decision-making, democratically, at Andante Group. I will not be confusing but rather give continuity when parts of the world spin into darkness or light; when some of us are ill; or if Lyndon should die.
I STRESS: I AM NOT A POET BUT A LOVER OF POETRY.
Lyndon is published as a minor poet [but not as Lyndon] and places in national offline contests. I must say, I do not entirely agree with his essay-style free verse, and informal at that. But judges who are established poets in Australia seem to like some of his work. I thought that I should put straight our relationship as birds of a feather.
He is an enthusiast and it is difficult to say "no" to him. I do, often. If I help him out, it is in good humour but against my better judgement.
--Andantino, who occupies the old site sometimes known as "Willy the Winkler". But I am not he!!!!![]()

We are the Winklings with a variety of styles.
Just watch us go!
The Winklings are in debt to Maatkara and Freed by Mercy for my backgrounding and borders. Thank you Gennelle and Joyce.
Remember: Nothing has changed as far as our procedures. Perhaps we may all work more cohesively now. Andante (aka Willy Winkler).
By the way, if you can afford a few points each week for me, this assists in giving points in our numerous contests. It is not a "tax" but a donation. Thank you to all who give much already to this end.
Be careful what you wish for my poor lonely Winkler ...*
“We look before and after, And pine for what is not; Our sincerest laughter With some pain is fraught; Our sweetest songs are those that tell of saddest thought” ~ Rowan
