Just because my understanding may be different from yours,
do not assume I have NO understanding.
We just come from different experiences.
Just because my vision is different from yours,
do not assume I am blind.
We just see things differently.
Just because you disagree with my words,
do not assume you are the only "good person"
in the conversation.
That is called prejudice. The mother of hatred.

I came to this site in reverence to my father,
who posted poetry at allpoetry.com/poet/dittysri.
It has coincidently been just before his passing
that I began to write poems. My poetry is inpired
in the night as I sleep, and I write in the stage
of awakening.

My work is generally fluid and without meter.
I wrote "I Miss Him" after recently reading Dad's
fine work, and just after signing up here myself.
The words came to me without effort,
they wrote themselves.
I myself am a blues guitarist and teach basic computer
skills to the elderly, (older than myself at 50),
and I too am a working signman, as was my Dad.

Ancientson : Hi on November 22You're right about the "all work and no play" comment. I blew a gasket in my noggin a while back. I have moved to Colorado in the meantime and my job is great. I love the Rockie Mountains.

angelica : G'DAY OLD FRIEND on July 4, 2007Hi Dirk, It's been a long while since we've spoken. I came across an old comment you made when Bob was ill, so I thought I'd pop in and say hello.
How's life been treating you?
I lost my youngest Son almost 11 months ago of a Heart attack, he was 38.
Hope all is well with you.
