I live in a small village near Manchester England (UK).
I don't think I have a 'style' of writing, I just write from the heart, what I am feeling at that moment in time. I know I am not very good, but I write for myself, I find it helps me to write down what I am feeling, and if by any small chance, someone else likes what I have written and tells me, then that makes me smile
I had, up untill 27th April 2004 been putting most of my poems on Poetry.com they even published some but I didn't get paid lol, I just got the book a little cheaper.
I really like this site, it's nice that other poets can leave comments on your work, and I have been very lucky up to now, everyone has said nice things.

Footprints in the sand
One night a man had a dream.
He dreamt he was walking along the beach with the Lord.
Across the sky flashed scenes from his life
For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand.
One belonging to him,
And the other belonging to the Lord.
When the last scene of his life flashed before him
He looked back at the footprints in the sand
And to his surprise he noticed that many times
Along the path of his life
There was only one set of prints.
He realised that this was at the very lowest and saddest times in his life
This really bothered him, and he questioned the Lord about his dilemma
Lord you told me that when I decided to follow you,
You would walk all the way...
But I'm aware that during the most troublesome times in my life
There is only one set of footprints.
I just don't understand why, when I needed you most, you leave me?
He whispered, "My precious child, I love you and will never leave you,
Never ever during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you"
I know the Lord has carried me many times in my life, and I know he will carry me many more times before I go to spend eternity with him.
This is my favourite poems of all time.
