It's been forever since I've been on...i've kinda got lost and out of touch...Funny how life tends to do that. Get in the way of stuff you enjoy doing the most, is what I mean. I pop in and out every once and again. I hope to pop around to some of the people I met when I first came here and check out some of their new writes. I'm sure there will be tons.

Amberly on December 8, 2001'Carpe Deim' in other words Catz. :) I know all about that...I try do to that..but sometimes it's just so hard. Sometimes not wanting to make a fool out of my self, weighs bigger than wanting to know. I think everyone's been through relationships and the feeling of 'cold feet'. No one ever wants to be hurt the first time and when that does happen, they don't want it a second time. You said about not wanting to be anxious by speaking up too soon and then said it was hard to explain. I think to anyone reading that line, they understand it and realize it is hard to explain, but yet, they know what you mean at the same time. I know I did.

catz on December 6, 2001Thanks for reading my poem, 'Waiting' and for your kind comment and rating. And yes, those words were finally said by both of us. Seems we really were each waiting to hear it from the other first. We'd both been through marriages and relationships before, leaving us with 'cold feet', not too anxious to be hurt again by speaking up too soon.. something like that.. hard to explain, but all is fine now. We're both up in years, and each of us in our minds had come to the same realization that waiting is not where it's at... because sometimes we do wait so long there's no time left to say what's in our hearts ...don't put off 'til tomorrow what you can say today.
