I’m Alex =],
Since joining allpoetry.com I have written a lot more poems, after my phase of writing very little. But it has also made me realise that in school I’m a good poet, yet in the world of poetry, i am no more than average. If not less.
In poetry, these are the things that keep my attention:
· COLOURS.
· Alliteration and Metaphors.
· Poems that actually go somewhere rather than just dribble on.
· “Beautiful” and "Dark" is boring.
· Brevity.
I have liked poetry FOREVER.
I don’t put my favourite ones on here. They don’t feel like “mine” any more.
I just enter contests randomly- write them in a matter of minutes- seeing where it gets me.
My character…
I’m a little crazy at times. This repels some, but it has made me the right friends.
I don't want to die =[. Ever. Especially not before I have found something in life which makes me think “THIS is what I’m here for.” Although I may have already found it.
I’m always right.
But I accept that sometimes, I can be wrong.
When I come onto Allpoetry.com in the morning, I get so excited when I have little notes… Anyone else feel like that? =P
