Most of my poems tend to lean to the darker side, though this class I took sent me in all different directions (as you can tell by the "class" list)
I started writing in about my 8th grade year, when I first started cutting myself. Since then I've stopped cutting, but the poetry lives on.
Be warned, i have been known to rip apart poems! (critiquely speaking)
A good poet bends and twists language too it's very extent, but never breaks it.

I am a soldier in the United States Army.
I am an American soldier.
So I'm going against my own vows here... but meh, a little about myself.
I am not one of those guys who seem to have everything, quite the opposite. I was not abused or treated poorly by my parents, despite what you may see from my poetry. I am not "emo", but I most definatly think and feel darkly quite often. Despite all of that I am still usually a pretty happy person.
I strive for nothing more in a relationship then to make the other person happy, both in a friendship and a boy/girl relationship. I care very little for my own well being. All I want is for others to be happy, to see the good in life, to live forever.
I will never hit a woman, despite to save my own life obviously, it's against everything I believe and work towards. I do believe in love, and will take quite a many risks against my own sanity and happiness to prove it to myself that there is love, and that I can get it. As Garth Brooks would say, I dance within the flames.
