Hey guys,
I'm ashamed to say I gave up writing for a while. I ran into a huge gigantic writer's block about 2-3 years ago and since then I've barely done anything with the pen on paper thing. I have a lot in my head, a lot of stories and emotions and they've been building up lately so I've been taking a peek at my old work again and finding the courage to sniff up some nostalgia. Who knows, it might lead me back to this place.
Writing is what makes me feel best, it makes me feel whole and I hope I can start picking up the pieces I left broken so long ago.
I started writing English poetry and short stories at 13, and I've grown up to 21 now. I'm currently studying medicine in Amsterdam and starting my fourth year in the hospital in a month's time. I'm excited, nervous and scared, but I'm working to get the courage!
Here's something I wrote a while ago.
Even if the time could stop
it would not make a difference.
Tragedy will always exist,
even if tears cannot be shed, --
the dead will still be dead.
Bubbles may float upward
but never will they burst.
Like the voices forever silent,
and a song repeating melody, --
everlasting but tuneless and lost.
Look right through a timeless world
and see what lies beneath;
Emotions will not drown my words,
feelings are forever, like the whispers underneath.
