A large {shield} which he uses in a defensive position. (His specialty) Estimated size of the shield would be around 5 feet, 6 inches tall.
Weapons: When using his shield (which is most of the time) he uses an Elvish made gladius, a shortsword sharpened on both sides.
When duel wielding, he uses two of the Elvish {Katana} for a decent stance in offensive and defensive combat.
For offensive matters, he uses a {Runed Claymore}
Natural Special Abilities: Extended sight (can see up to 1 mile on flat ground and 3 miles on a hill.) Can see well in the dark. Increased hearing.
Magic: All his magic is the magic of the knowledge of combat, of course...Swordmasters do have their own forms of magic.
Blade of Leaping Gold: The blade (or blades) Ael is wielding begins to emit a gold aura, and would deal slightly more damage than a regular blow with the sword would deal.
Phoenix Claw: A fiery attack with the blade/blades, it obtained its name from the sound the fiery blade makes as it cuts through the air.
Graceful Dance: The blade or blades begin to sparkle as Ael goes into a vicious yet graceful dance to get multiple attacks on a target.

Personality: Stern and disciplined. He usually deflects most insults with a calm remark, and rarely laughs, simply due to his military training.
Background: Ael grew up in a small Elvish village of around 30 people. Always curious and seeking adventure, he joined the Elvish military at the age of 17 human years. Becoming stern and disciplined, he mastered the Art of the Sword by the age of 20 human years. Note: In the aspect of humans, that took around the time of the average life span of the human, which is between the ages of 80. However, in an Elvish terms, this is an INCREDIBLE feat to become a true master in swords. Note: This does not mean he is a genius in combative situations. He merely studied and trained combat with swords for, as I said, 80 human years age wise.
His Mastery of Swords allowed him to be skilled in the art of Florentine combat (Dual-Wielding) for an equally offensive and defensive combat style, the style of Two-Handed combat, giving him a mainly offensive standpoint, even if slowed due to the heaviness of a two-handed sword, regardless of Elvish craftsmanship, to the lighter, more malleable fighting style of a one-handed sword.
Though his specialty would be a defensive standpoint. Using a large shield and an Elven gladius, he tends to be the person to let people beat on the shield, waiting for an opening to swing with his gladius. The shield needs constant repair, which he does himself usually. In special cases, he will leave for an Elven blacksmith. After serving the minimum in the High Elven army, he decided to wander, see everywhere, not just where the High Elven army took him, which was usually the homefront against the Dark Elves.
